THE MEETING

Hello may i ask your name

My name is Sarophia

Quite tha name, do you know how old you are

Yes, i am four

That is some pretty fancy talking there, where did you come from

Mr. Rupert took me out of the root cellar

The root cellar? What were you doing in the root cellar

Mommy said if i did not stay and wait for her to come back, i could never see my pet again

I see . . .So where is your pet or mommy now

I don’t know Cleveland took me out before my mommy came back and now i don’t know where she is

Is Cleveland, Mr. Rupert,  here now?

Yes,  he is over there, he is putting all the bees in the back of his truck, then he is taking me to the big city

Did he tell you why

Yes,  he told me i had to dance like the bees until they are all dancing

Are you doing this for school with other little children

No,  i have to dance all by my self

Oh that sounds scary i wouldn’t want to do it why are you going to do it

Cleve said if i don’t everyone on earth will die

Oh he is just probably pulling your leg little one, Cleveland is like that

What’s your name

Oh me they call me Sam Crazy old Sam

Sam . . .That is my pet rat’s name

You have a pet rat

No not no more it probably ran away, i was gone for a long time now like fifty-days

50 days

Yeah it’s probably really hungry now

Well i hope your rat finds some food

Cleveland is coming now

Well then . . .Maybe we can chat another time, i hope you find your rat or it finds you  bye-bye for now

Bye Sam.

Sam walked over to Cleveland who was on his way over to Sam. They met somewhere in the middle.

Hey Sam

It’s been a long time Cleve

I see you’re a live

Where did you find that child she sure can talk it up

Yeah that

What about this Bee Dancing she tells me you are making her do

Yeah and that,  i take it you did not come from towns way

Where is Barb Cleve

Oh . . .She is gone

Went into town did she

No, she passed

In english,  run that by me one more time

I don’t know where you came from but everyone in town is dead or missing what ever the case maybe . . .Not coming back and took no luggage

What are you saying Cleve

We are at war Sam is what i am saying and if i don’t get to town by high noon with that little girl,  i’m afraid it is over for all of us Know what RED DUST is Sam, ever see red dust

Instantly Sam’s mind brought him to the boat. The very last place he saw Steve alive, just a red heap of red dust. Sam is now paying attention to what Cleveland is saying but has no idea as to what he is talking about.

How about you fill me in.
